Frequently asked questions
Everything people ask us before booking
18 questions, as many clear answers. If yours is not here, write to us: we answer within a day and add the question to this page.
Booking
When to get in touch, how to hold a date, and what happens if the diary moves.
How far in advance should we book?
For a Saturday between May and September, allow 6 to 9 months: those dates go first. Midweek or out of season, a few weeks is usually enough. Write to us even at the last minute — we sometimes still have a booth free.
How does booking work?
You get a detailed quote within 24 h of your request. As soon as you approve it, a 30 % deposit holds the date and a written confirmation follows. The balance is paid by bank transfer at the latest 7 days before the event: nothing is asked for on the day itself.
Which parts of the country do you cover?
We cover the whole of Belgium from Nivelles in Walloon Brabant, and we work in English, French and Dutch alike. Travel is included up to 20 km on the Starter and Essential plans and anywhere in the country on the Signature. For Luxembourg or northern France, ask us for a price.
What if we have to cancel or move the date?
Moving the date is free when you tell us at least 30 days ahead: the deposit follows you to the new date, as far as our availability allows. Cancelling more than 30 days out costs the deposit only; between 30 and 7 days the fee is 50 % of the total, deposit included; under 7 days the date can no longer be filled and the balance may be claimed. The same figures appear on your quote and in our terms and conditions.
You are just starting out: why trust you?
Boothly launched in 2026 and we are not hiding it: you will find no customer reviews and no average rating on this site, because we do not have real ones yet and we will not invent any. What you can check before committing: equipment bought new for this season, one event accepted per night, cancellation and breakdown terms written down in black and white, a deposit capped at 30 %, and a pro-rata refund if the booth stops for more than 60 minutes.
Technical
The space, the power, working outdoors, and what becomes of your photos.
How much space do you need in the room?
Allow 2 × 2 m for the classic photo booth, 2 × 2.5 m for the mirror and 3 × 3 m for the 360° platform, with 2.4 m of headroom. Keep a good metre free in front for the queue. If your room is tight, send us a photo: we almost always find a corner.
What do you need on site to plug the booth in?
One ordinary 220 V socket less than 10 m away, ideally not on the circuit already feeding the caterer. A flat, stable surface, out of the rain. Wi-Fi is not needed: our booths carry their own mobile connection for sending photos.
Can the photo booth be set up outdoors?
Yes, as long as it is under cover: a marquee closed on three sides, a sheltered terrace or a barn all work well. The equipment tolerates neither rain nor full sun on the screen. Plan for firm ground too: very soft grass and sand will not hold the structure.
What happens to the photos after the party?
The photos belong to you. They sit on a European server in a password-protected gallery, then get deleted at the end of the period your plan covers. We never publish an image without your written agreement, and any guest can ask for their photo to be taken down at any time.
Does the 360° platform print photos?
No, and that is on purpose: the 360° platform films, it does not print. The camera is a smartphone mounted on the motorised arm, and the clip goes straight to your guests’ iPhone or Android by QR code, AirDrop or email, then into your private online gallery. If you want paper prints on the night, the classic photo booth or the photo mirror is what you need - either can run alongside the 360°.
Pricing
What each plan really covers, why nothing is charged by the hour, and the only possible extras.
Does the price cover delivery and set-up?
It does. Delivery, assembly, calibration, test prints, take-down and collection are all covered by the price you are quoted. There is no admin fee and no late-night surcharge.
How many hours does the booth stay?
For the whole of your event, whatever the plan: none of them is charged by the hour. We agree with you when the booth opens and when we come back to take it down, to fit your timetable, and the price does not depend on the number of hours in between. What sets the plans apart is the number of paper prints and the level of service.
How many paper prints are included?
It depends on the plan. The Starter prints nothing: the photos are 100% online and your guests get them by email, straight from the booth. The Essential includes 150 prints, the Signature 400. It is a fixed number you know before the party: if you are expecting a big crowd, the Signature gives you more headroom. Every photo, printed or not, ends up in your private online gallery anyway. One caveat: the 360° platform only makes video, so it prints nothing.
Does the price change depending on the booth?
It depends on the plan, and the supplement is shown before the quote. On the Starter, the model makes no difference: classic photo booth, photo mirror or 360° platform, it is €200 for any of them, since nothing is printed. On the Essential and the Signature, the classic photo booth is included: €299 and €399. The photo mirror adds +€100 on the Essential and +€100 on the Signature, so €399 and €499. The 360° platform adds +€100 on the Essential and +€100 on the Signature, so €399 and €499. Every model therefore starts at €200, and on every plan the booth stays for the whole of your event.
Is there a mileage surcharge?
On the Starter and Essential plans, travel is included up to 20 km from Nivelles; beyond that it is €0.60 per kilometre return, always stated on the quote. The Signature plan covers the whole of Belgium at no extra cost. Only paid parking or paid access imposed by the venue stays on your side.
On the day
When we arrive, who stays during the evening, and the fallback plan.
What time do you arrive on the day?
We arrive at least an hour before the booth opens, often two in larger venues. The set-up happens while you are somewhere else, never in front of your guests. Taking it down takes about thirty minutes, right at the end, without cutting the music.
Does someone stay on site during the evening?
No, and that is exactly what lets us hold these prices. We deliver, install, calibrate and test the booth before it opens, then come back to take it down at the agreed time. In between it runs on its own: your guests tap the screen, the rest is automatic. We leave spare consumables on site and you keep our number — if in doubt, we pick up. Would you rather have someone there all evening? An operator can stay on site as a paid add-on, priced on your quote.
And if the equipment breaks down during the party?
The everyday incidents - paper, film, a cable - take a minute to fix: before we leave we show the routine to a person of your choosing and we leave spare consumables on site. If it does jam, call us: we talk you through it on the phone and come back if we need to. Past 60 minutes of continuous downtime, the part you did not get is refunded pro rata, without you having to ask. And if the booth never ran at all, everything you paid is returned.
